1 cup butter, softened
½ cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 ¼ cups sifted flour
½ tsp salt
¾ cup chopped walnuts

Cream together butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy, then stir in the vanilla.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and salt, gradually add this mixture in to the butter mixture (dry into wet ingredients). Stir in copped nuts.
If possible, chill dough for 5 minutes in freezer.
Form dough into 1 ¼ inch balls, and placed on parchment lined or ungreased cooking sheets.
Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes, or until they turn light brown. While cookies are warm but not HOT, rolls them in powdered sugar, and cool on wire racks.
Makes about 48 cookies.
