8 Granny Smith Apples, peeled, cored and cut into small pieces
8 Golden Delicious Apples, peeled, cored and cut into small pieces
2 Cups Apple Cider
2 lemons juiced
½ cup light brown sugar
4 cinnamon sticks
Place all ingredients into a large saucepan. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat to a simmer.
Let cook for 15 minutes or until apples are tender. Remove cinnamon sticks
Mash mixture with a potato masher, and stir in a ½ tsp of cinnamon and a dash of nutmeg.
